Alzheimer’s Walk

walktoend     alzassociation

Dear BTAS Family and Friends,

I am humbled and heartened by your response to our Miami Valley Chapter Alzheimer’s Association pledge drive. As of today, our combined contribution is $3,820, all of which goes directly to Alzheimer’s support and represents an astounding 153% of our original goal! For those 1-in-9 Americans over 65 who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease, and those family and friends who serve as caretakers to people with dementia, our fundraising represents more than a simple, kind gesture. Not only have we stood together to fund a portion of the Miami Valley Chapter’s operating expenses, our commitment to participate in the 2-mile Dayton Walk to End Alzheimer’s will raise awareness in our community and give hope to those in need.

I look forward to walking side-by-side with many BTAS employees, their families, and friends on Saturday, 7 October at Fifth Third Field. Details for this event appear below:

Time:

Registration at 9:00 am
Ceremony at 10 am
Walk at 10:15 am (conclusion after the walk)

Location:

BTAS is meeting outside the Brixx Ice Company
500 East First Street
Dayton, OH 45402

For further information about the Dayton Walk to End Alzheimer’s, please follow this: act.alz.org/goto/btas where you can join the BTAS team. Please register yourself and friends or family members who will be walking by 10AM Friday, October 6th so we can provide you a commemorative T-Shirt, wristband* and BTAS swag! We are one of about 370 local teams who will participate in the Walk. So that we can find one another at this crowded event and unite the BTAS team, we will show our colors by sporting purple bandanas and orange beads. Why purple and orange? Purple signifies a loss to Alzheimer’s Disease. Orange signifies we support the cause and vision of a world without Alzheimer’s. You don’t have to donate to walk! The weather report is anticipating a clear and sunny day, so please register to walk online and bring your friends and family!

We would like to thank our donors by name. Your response to our call-to-action speaks to your generosity and compassion. We are delighted to band together to effect positive change in our community. Thank you:
