Angela Fronista

As a founding partner, Angela Fronista has been President & CEO of BTAS since its inception in 1995. Fronista’s leadership has been a strong impetus for the company’s success. Her commitment to excellent management practices has resulted in BTAS’ recognition as a 2013 Top Workplace in the Dayton Area. Fronista has led BTAS expansion across the United States and has successfully ensured BTAS’ stellar performance supporting customers at Air Force major commands and centers including LCMC, SMC, AFRL, and Space Command. Over the years, the BTAS customer base has also embraced non-DoD organizations such as NASA, DOE, DOI, EPA, and the FDIC. Fronista and BTAS are fortunate to have received multiple accolades. Most notably, BTAS is a proud recipient of NASA’s George M. Low Award for Quality and Excellence, and the US Small Business Administration Small Minority Business of the Year. Fronista was recognized in 2014 as one of the Better Business Bureau’s Women in Business Networking (WiBN) Top 25 Women to Watch. She has also been the recipient of the Ohio Governor’s Awardee for Women’s Excellence in Enterprise Service, and the Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Businessperson of the Year in 2004 and 2012. Fronista received her bachelor’s degree from Wright State University and her master’s degree from Central Michigan University and is involved in the following community organizations: WSU Amigos Latinos, Southbrook Cancer Hope Ministry and Maple Tree Cancer Alliance, Alzheimer’s Association – Miami Valley Chapter.

George Vlahos

George Vlahos is a Executive Vice President and a founding partner of BTAS. He has served in his current role since inception and is largely responsible for BTAS’ success in winning government contracts and expanding BTAS across the U.S. His leadership and oversight of the Business Development team has resulted in BTAS being awarded government contracts with a ceiling over $10B.

Mr. Vlahos began his career in 1985 as a Telecommunications Officer in the United States Army Signal Corps. He served six years in the Army in various positions of leadership dealing with Fixed Station and Mobile Combat communications. Upon leaving the military, Vlahos entered the private sector in the field of information technology, specializing in Internet standards, network architecture, design, and installation, with an emphasis on military applications. The programs he supported include GCSS-AF, CALS, JCALS, and the Air Force Integrated Digital Environment, or IDE. Vlahos is currently responsible for strategic business expansion and focuses on business growth in four regions nationally, which include customers at major commands and product centers in the Air Force, such as AFMC, AFOTEC, AFRL, AFTC, Space Command, and SMC. The BTAS customer base also includes non-DoD organizations, such as NASA, DOE, DOI, EPA, and the FDIC. Mr. Vlahos holds a BS in Applied Mathematics and an MS in Management. Vlahos is a member of the US Army Signal Regiment, AFCEA, and the AFA.

Chad Rayburn

Chad Rayburn is the BTAS Chief Financial Officer and manages all aspects of the Accounting Department. His commercial experience in private and public accounting has enabled BTAS to successfully manage the business operations and financial reporting of a growing business. Rayburn has more than 20 years of experience as a professional accountant. He graduated from Wright State University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Ed Decker

Edward Decker, Vice President, Information Technology Division, has served BTAS well in many capacities since 1999, including as Senior Director of Operations. As BTAS expands, Decker will focus on revenue growth and development using the NETCENTS 2 – NETOPS contract vehicle and other IT prospects. His primary objective is to develop contracts and improvements that will enable BTAS to “move forward” and continue to deliver exceptional support to our customers and employees across the country. Decker holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and is a retired USAF Chief Master Sergeant for Aircraft Maintenance. He is an active supporter of the AFCEA Dayton-Wright Chapter and EEMG.

Eric Jaren

Eric R. Jaren rejoined BTAS in 2016 as Vice President of the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) and Engineering Division. In his role at BTAS, he is primarily responsible for structuring management resources to implement BTAS’ quality program management methodology and securing existing A&AS and Engineering work as it is re-competed on follow-on contracts. Mr. Jaren retired from the USAF after a distinguished 30-year career in a variety of assignments in the aircraft maintenance field with C-141, C-5, KC-10, C-17, and F-15 aircraft.  His final assignment was as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of  the Air Force Materiel Command. Mr. Jaren earned a bachelor’s degree in Management and Psychology from Excelsior College, an MBA from TUI University, and an Executive Certificate from the Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame. He is an active member of the AFA, Air Force Sergeants Association, Dayton Defense, Miami Valley Military Affairs Association, and the VFW. He enjoys presenting Brown Bag Lessons, professional development seminars, to transitioning college students and military members. 

Kelly Whitt

As Vice President of Human Resources, Kelly Whitt focuses on improving business success through the development of people. She has experience in Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Change Management and Organizational Design and has been a member of the BTAS team since 2013. Prior to her employment at BTAS, she served in various human resources leadership capacities at WorkflowOne. Whitt earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Capital University. She is active in the Miami Valley Human Resources Association.

Jeff Liffick

Jeff Liffick is the Vice President of Business Development for BTAS. He has more than 34 years of Air Force and DoD experience. A Dayton native, he began his Air Force career in 1981 as a civilian attending the University of Dayton after being accepted into the Air Force Accelerated Training Program. During his time at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Liffick worked in the areas of combustion and fuels research, gaining experience in design, research, and analytics. His efforts earned him a nomination for AFRL Technician of the Year, Sustained Superior Performance awards and a Letter of Commendation from the Australian government. After leaving Wright-Patterson AFB, he joined Intergraph where he led efforts to expand their business within the DoD and commercial markets, focusing on product data management, information management, IT, geospatial information systems, and security. Liffick is a lifetime Air Force Association (AFA) member and current Ohio State President of the AFA. He is also a member of AFCEA and the Logistics Officers Association (LOA). Liffick holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
